Hi, I am Samantha Faehrmann.

I am an artist who loves to create + collaborate + teach.

You can find my work at some of Adelaide’s best cafes and restaurants including - Peter Rabbit, Bloom, Allegra, Etica and Lockwood General.

Sam's work has graced the tables of The David Roche Foundation + cooking legend - THE - Martha Stewart!

Both wild adventures made possible through the generous support of the dearly missed, Martyn Cook

Originally from a remote community on Gayiri Country, Central Queensland, I relocated to Kaurna Country where I run ‘Butter and Gravy’ studio. A mixed medium practice, including the functional series of ‘I AM SAM’ ceramics.

I hold a Masters of Architecture from the University of South Australia, where I began working with the 'Design Construct Program’ (DCP) for over 12 years. My

portfolio expanded to include contemporary art in pursuit of material language and experimentation in 2016.

I continued to explore the intersections between people, spaces, places, bodies and objects that form the phenomena of our experience and our collective contributions.

I am a passionate artist and facilitator, developing and delivering creative programs across multiple sectors in local, metropolitan, regional, remote and international communities. I am dedicated to co-created outcomes, inclusive practices, capacity building and ever seeking opportunities to encourage and amplify the expansion, sustainability and resolve of creative practices and people.

Ever guided - by Cleopatra (right) and challenged by my ethos - butter + gravy + aldente. Repeat.
